15 Random Questions

15 Random Questions

Hey lovely, today I'm taking a step back from really trying to come up with a post as I'm going to be doing the 15 random questions about yourself tag. I always love doing posts like this and then reading posts from others to see how they have answered the questions, let's get answering!

1. What's one thing that's happened to you that has made you a stronger person?

Losing my Gran and Grandad absolutely tore me apart when it initially happened. I didn't come out the other side the same, however I did come out a far stronger person. I believe you never truly get over the loss of a loved one, you just learn how to go on without them.

2. Who do you think has had the largest influence on the person you are today?

Naturally my mother, my grandmother and closest friends, even tutors and teacher I fully believe that every single person I have ever interacted with in my life has helped mold me into the person that I am today.

3. Do you easily accept compliments? or do you hate compliments?

I don't think that anyone hates compliments, I think they can't accept them because maybe they don't believe in what they are being told, but I don't think anyone hates them. I get plenty of compliments from my fiance and most often return them, I can accept them from him as he truly knows me.

4. What is your favourite physical attribute about yourself?

My eyes. I have some form of heterochromia, meaning that my eyes are both different colours.

5. What is your favourite non-physical attribute about yourself?

I will forever put others before myself, and I don't think a lot of people would do that, I like to think I'm quite the selfless person.

6. Do you believe in soul mates?

Yes, I believe they come in all different species, it could be your best friend, you best friend could be your dog. I don't believe a soul mate is necessarily your romantic partner, however I'm lucky enough for mine fiance to be my soul mate.

7. What is something you've never done before that you've always wanted to do?

Whale watching

8. Why haven't you done it?

It's a pathetic excuse, but I've just never got round to it.

9. What is the last thing that REALLY embarrassed you?

I don't actually remember the last time I was embarrassed, I'm never really in possible situations where this could be an outcome.

10. What is your biggest fear?

I've always thought that letting people know your weaknesses is never a good idea, however it's impossible for me to hide my arachnophobia.

11. What is one thing you think your life is missing?

I'm a crazy animal lover that has absolutely 0 pets!

12. Who is the one person in this world that knows you best?

I'm going to be 100% cliche here and say my fiance, and that's mainly because he's basically an older male version of myself.

13. Where is the one place you feel most like yourself?

I guess inside my house? I would probably say it's more about what I'm doing rather than where I am.

14. Where is your favourite place to escape to?

Honestly? I don't need a place. Just give me a good book and I'll soon get lost inside those beautiful pages.

15. What's your favourite joke?

Why do Daleks eat apples? An apple a day keeps the Doctor away!

I had such a lovely time doing this tag, it was such an easy flowing post, why can't everything be this easy?

A Letter to my past self

A Letter to Younger A.

Dearest Ashleigh,

You don't know me yet, but I know you better than you currently know yourself, please hold on because things are going to get so good for you!

You're so young and innocent right now and don't have a care in the world, this isn't going to last forever so do take advantage of that. I've been dreading writing this part down because it may break your heart a little bit, but you'll never actually become a Pokemon Trainer, unfortunately that will just be a dream. However in 2016 a downloadable game for mobile will be released that will allow you to collect Pokemon via the app, even battle to become a gym master, and it will bring you closer to becoming a trainer than ever before. Again, you'll never form a girl band, save the world from Aliens or visit a Jurassic Park, but you will accomplish so much that you don't even know is important right now.

Right now so much of what people say to you probably bothers you, you take everything to heart, but always remember that people are scared of things that are different or things they don't understand. I'm talking about the wonderful colour of your eyes, ignore what people say because people will stare in awe as you grow, they will know how beautiful they are. I'm sorry you're not the prettiest girl, the thinnest girl or even the most popular girl, but take a moment to think about whether that truly matters, you have the kindest soul, kindness is a beautiful thing to have.

I know that you have a hard time during primary school, they've put you in extra classes and don't listen to you, but you're going to do better than they could ever imagine. You'll finish high school with amazing GCSE results, you will A* College and even go on to study a BSc in Broadcast and Media Production, probably the hardest degree you could have possibly chosen, but it's worth it.

You're currently struggling to make friends right now, but can I let you into a little secret? It doesn't matter because you're about to leave this place. You're going to come across hard times when you do move, your mothers partner isn't your biggest fan, but try not to let him get to you too much because you're worth so much more. The big move will be happening sooner than you think, and you'll go onto form many friendships that will continue throughout your life.

You're worth so much more than you could ever imagine and you have so much to offer the world. Your so kind, you're so loving and you put everyone else before yourself.

I must go now, you have a Fiance, a job, and even a house now, there's so much to do.

Your dearest self, Ashleigh

500 prompts to keep you writing: Why do you want to be a writer?

Why do you want to be a writer?

I want to write because it's one of the greatest stress relievers that I have ever found. Just like reading, writing is the perfect way to escape reality and be transported into a new world of magic, a world where anything and everything is possible, a world with no limitations. I want to write for myself, to prove to myself that it's something that I can do. I want to prove that I can create something as beautiful as some of the fantastic stories that I have read. Most importantly, I want to write because it makes me happy.
